Miss Beatty joined the South Bend team in the Fall of 2016, when she moved from a small town in western New York state (south of Buffalo), where it is common-place to have several feet of snow, at any given time, from October through April!
Miss Beatty has previously taught K-8 Music, Academic Intervention courses, and introductory Spanish language courses. She has a BA in Music Performance and MBA in General Business from St. Bonaventure University, an MEd in Elementary Education from Grand Canyon University, and is currently pursuing a Masters in English Language Learning from WGU. Miss Beatty also has extra training in Early Childhood Literacy and Child Development from the University at Buffalo.
Miss Beatty has traveled extensively through Europe, including performing as a vocal soloist with American Music Abroad's "D-Day 60th Anniversary Tour". She has also spent time studying abroad, attending a summer session at Oxford University in England, and a month long TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) training in Prague, Czech Republic.
Since moving to Washington, Miss Beatty has performed with the Grays Harbor Symphony Orchestra, the Grays Harbor Civic Choir, and the Grays Harbor Concert Band. She also enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, watching football, and playing music whenever possible.
